Stove Top Stuffing Easy Chicken Bake

Any recipe that promises to be easy is one that we are more than willing to try. We found a good deal on boxed stuffing mix a few (8) months ago and finally realized that each box had this little gem on the back. So, lacking any concrete dinner plans, we decided to make some.

Stove Top Stuffing Easy Chicken Bake

1 pkg (6 oz) Stove Top Cornbread (or regular) Stuffing Mix
1-1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 can (10-3/4 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
1/3 cup sour cream
1 bag (16 oz) frozen mixed vegetables, thawed, drained

1. HEAT oven to 400 degrees F
2. PREPARE  stuffing mix as directed on package
3. MIX chicken, soup, sour cream, and vegetables in 13x9-inch baking dish; top with the stuffing
4. BAKE 30 min. or until chicken is cooked through (165 degrees F)

Makes: 6 servings

The best part was that all of these ingredients are things we either had around or knew exactly where to find.

Five minutes later we had this

And thirty seconds after that we had this, ready to be put in the oven.

We had to hand it to Stove Top, it certainly was easy. And it was pretty tasty, though it was in desperate need of some seasoning. You might want to try garlic salt, creole seasoning, hot sauce, or plain old salt and pepper to give your dish a little more personality.

Ease: 5/5
Taste: 4/5
Make again? Yes.
